March 9, 2026 — Associate Professor Apinun Suvarnaraksha, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Technology and Aquatic Resources, held preliminary talks with senior officials at Thailand’s Department of Fisheries on Monday to explore joint research initiatives and staff development cooperation under an existing memorandum of understanding (MOU), the university said.
The discussion focused on establishing a framework for collaborative research, knowledge exchange and capacity-building programs aimed at strengthening national fisheries management and advancing technological innovation in aquatic resource development.
According to the faculty, both sides reviewed potential research areas, including applied fisheries technology, aquatic resource sustainability and the development of scientific personnel capable of supporting long-term national strategies in the fisheries sector.

คณะเทคโนโลยีการประมงและทรัพยากรทางน้ำ ร่วมกับคณะเกษตรและเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยนครพนม จัดประชุมวิชาการเกษตรลุ่มน้ำโขง ครั้งที่ 4 ภายใต้หัวข้อ “นวัตกรรมการเกษตร เพื่อรับมือการเปลี่ยนแปลง”/The Faculty of Fisheries Technology and Aquatic Resources, in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology at Nakhon Phanom University, hosted the 4th Mekong Agriculture Conference under the theme “Agricultural Innovation for a Changing World.”
